I got busy being in life again 😅

The past year has been full of travel, tours, beautiful encounters, deep conversations, friendship, loss, family, growth and many unforgettable moments in between 🌞

And somewhere along the way I also started learning how to become a little less busy.

Taking more care of my body, mind and soul and continuing to do so right now 💙🫶🙏

Feeling grateful for life, my husband, my children, my family, friends and where I stand today.

And tomorrow… birthday & Mother’s Day 🌿💃

Meanwhile Julian is off to China! 🇨🇳🎎✈️

From cheese fondue, lekker braai to sushi – this year is definitely one for the books. 🫕🍖🍱🍜

🇨🇭 Working and skiing in Switzerland
🦁 Safari in the Eastern Cape
🌊 Surfing the winter waves in St. Francis Bay
👨‍👩‍👦 Family time in Europe

… and now: Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong – together with his friend Alex, visiting their school friend Till. 😎🎏
(And fun fact: we moms ended up sitting next to each other on the airplane last week – completely by chance! ✈️😂)

And while this trip to Asia is a dream in itself, the bigger dream has already taken shape: Julian has accepted his offer from Stellenbosch University. 🥳😍🤩
To study International Studies there is truly something special – a program that brings together politics, history, cultural diplomacy and (most likely) Spanish. This trip to Asia feels like the perfect prologue to his academic journey.🤓

And me? I’m happily back in Cape Town after precious time with my hubby in Zimbabwe and with family and friends in Europe – moments of laughter, farewells, and everything in between. ❤️😎

Spring is in the air – visitors are flying in while Julian is flying out. ☀️✈️

Olli and I finally made it to Harare in Zimbabwe – the place of sunshine and smiles! ☀️

I'm here as one of the Two Boss Ladies – Trying Life,
together with my African sister Loice, the second Boss Lady in this adventure.

And one big reason we came is to help finish building the home for Loice and her family.

And you can be part of a bigger smile – One Brick at a Time.
Because this is more than a house. It’s a dream rising from the red Zimbabwean soil.

🔨 Last week: the roof went up & the windows were installed
🔨 This week: the walls are being plastered
🔨 Next up: a water tank, a borehole, and plumbing
… and if all goes well, maybe even a simple kitchen 🙏🏾

A beautiful baby just arrived 👶🏾
A traditional wedding is happening this Saturday 💍

This home is needed now – for love, life, and a future full of light.

We’re deeply grateful for the first contributions that made all this possible –
especially to Olli’s late father Dieter and his mother Rosemarie,
as well as to a few close friends who supported this vision from the very beginning. 💛
