BREAKING NEWS: The amplified second edition of Lines of Least Resistance will hit the shelves in October! After beavering away for over four years, I lay down my pen on the history and character of Table Mountain’s 101 hiking and scrambling routes. Readers can look forward to 75% more material, as well as a separate vintage map showing the location of all the routes. I have expanded the vignettes (to varying degrees) in the following ways:
- Fleshed out the lesser-known pioneers
- Crammed in more historical information
- Discussed the quirks and variations of certain routes
- Offered more personal perspectives
- Elaborated on the circumstances and mindsets around the opening of certain routes
