There was hardly an empty seat in Kilberry Terrace this week as villagers gathered for Prof Kevin Johnston’s fascinating talk on the wonderful world of AI.

The excellent turnout reflected not only the popularity of the topic, but also the enthusiasm within Helderberg Village for learning, innovation and future technology. From practical everyday uses to thought-provoking discussions about what lies ahead, the presentation offered plenty of insight and conversation.

Prof Johnston, himself a Helderberg Village resident, continues to travel regularly to Germany to lecture at university level — making his knowledge and experience all the more remarkable and inspiring.

Thank you to Prof Johnston for an engaging and informative afternoon.

🎾 Love tennis? Come and join the fun at Helderberg Village Tennis Club!

We have two well-maintained courts and a beautiful pavilion and veranda where resident and non-resident members enjoy social tennis every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning.

Our vibe is mildly competitive with the focus firmly on fun, friendly exercise and great company. Between matches, expect tea, coffee, rusks and plenty of laughter on the veranda.

Throughout the year we also organise social events including club competitions, breakfast and lunch outings, and various get-togethers — past members, friends and partners are always welcome.
