Teeing Off for Mama Themba ⛳💗

Thank you to everyone who braved the strong winds and joined the Ladies Open Golf Day at Helderberg Village in support of Mama Themba.

It was a day of golf, good company and generosity for a cause that supports new mothers and their babies. We’re grateful to the players, sponsors, organisers and everyone who contributed to the day.

Together, our Village community helped show Mama Themba that they have people cheering them on.

🏌️‍♂️Helderberg Village has updated its Golf Code of Conduct, including the age, affiliation and supervision requirements for younger golfers.

These changes help protect our residents, their homes and the course, while ensuring an enjoyable golfing experience for everyone. Affiliated young golfers remain welcome, subject to the updated rules.

🌸 Colourful Steps for a Good Cause! 🌈

Our Spring Wellness Walk brought plenty of colour and cheer to Helderberg Village! Walkers took on the 1 km and 2 km routes, with prizes awarded for Best Dressed, Most Colourful and First In. There was tea and a cupcake waiting afterwards — a lovely reward for every step taken. 🧁☕

The walk was held in aid of The Joint Venture, which helps people in the Boland who cannot afford private medical insurance to receive knee replacement surgery.

Thank you to everyone who walked, cheered and helped make the day happen. A special thank you to Blaauw & Partners Biokineticists and all our sponsors for their generous support! 💚

Arbor Month at Helderberg Village 🌳

The Garden Club celebrated Arbor Month by planting trees generously donated by villagers, including a white stinkwood (Celtis Africana). Residents young and old joined in to help — one was 93, in fact!

The planting also gave us a glimpse of what the Garden Club’s new nursery, built by Helderberg Village, will make possible: more trees and shrubs grown for the years ahead. Thank you to everyone who donated a tree or lent a hand. 🌱
