Sometimes the best way to experience the city is simply to spend the day in it.

Cape Town really knows how to do golden hour. Find a good viewpoint, give yourself time to settle in and watch the city change as the sun goes down.

Watching Cape Town light up beneath Table Mountain is something I never get tired of. The daytime views are spectacular, but seeing the city transform after sunset is a completely different experience.

If you're still deciding what to do one evening during your stay, I'd definitely recommend taking a drive to one of Cape Town's scenic viewpoints before heading home.

Cape Town mornings are worth getting up for.

Start with a walk along the Sea Point Promenade while the city is still waking up, then settle in for breakfast before heading through Green Point Urban Park.

From there, make your way towards the Waterfront and spend the rest of the morning browsing, exploring or simply finding somewhere sunny for another coffee.
