A last minute booking, spent 3 nights at Phoebe’s Cottage last weekend. A wonderful 65 year old couple, Joseph a chef and Heleen an abstract artist. They own and run a Restaurant/Gallery in an old church in Roerden, about 200kms from Amsterdam. I was left with a piece of her art dedicated to Phoebe’s.❤️

Cape Town is experiencing extreme drought conditions. The cover has been on the pool for months. Two days ago we lifted it and what a surprise to find enough water still in it to make a plan. So with the help of a pool company we ran pipes into the pool that bypass the weir and allow us to run all processes. The water level may be low, but our guests now have the pleasure of a dip in the pool. We go the extra mile at Phoebe’s Cottage.

Our guests from the UK have arrived for 20 nights. What a brilliant go getting young couple. They’ve joined the Virgin Active for the duration of their stay. Hubby is here on business and his wife has come with for the adventure. I am sure they are enjoying the fact that temperatures are above - degrees as well as the hospitality at Phoebe’s Cottage.
