Travelbug on the move today.

Work has returned full force finally after 3 years of up and down. Grateful for a day spent in Jozi with clients sorting all travel logistics, even room drops!

On my way home 🙌🏼 and spotted this delicious wall in - just what one needs after a long day.

Just in case you were wondering.. Travelbug is still here and hoping to wake up from the longest nap in history soon! Talk about some new aged jet lag, is covid lag a thing yet?

More and more countries are opening up to vaccinated travelers regardless of what list your origin is on, and we can’t be more excited!!! ✈️✈️✈️

Who is ready to get lost and not be able to speak the local language? I am!!

Things are looking up, little bit by little bit!! ✈️✈️✈️

It’s Friday which means I was up early and ready to talk all things travel related with Abs on CapeTalk!

First off, we briefly touched on level 3 travel allowances and which airlines have opened up their booking platforms.

But on a more exciting note, we were joined by Michael from ParkUp. And in his true entrepreneurial spirit they have reinvented their business to suite the current situation we find ourselves in - parking platform turned drive in cinemas! Where do I sign up!?

Reminiscing about travel (yes.. all the time!) and want to know which airports are the worlds best? I’ve got you covered.

Skytrax, the Oscars of aviation awards, had their airport awards and the line up is dashing. I shared all the info with Abs this morning on Cape Talk but it’s safe to say that the East is showing us how it’s done.

So that is all cool and all, but virtual travel is the trend we are following and I have just the thing for you. Monday 25 May is Africa Day and Idris Alba is hosting an Africa Day concert. This is fantastic as it has some of our continents most talented musicians performing for us, for free!

Log on and go to the MTV Base Africa Youtube channel at 6pm SA time and enjoy the show!

It’s the weeeeekend baby and I have you covered from all over the world stretching across all interests.

I had a great chat with Abs this morning on CapeTalk and shared with him my virtual travel itinerary for the weekend. First class tickets (aka my couch!) all the way.

Friday 15 May 2020

Tune in at 10am on Instagram as we travel to Bali and do a virtual yoga class with The Yoga Barn. Perfect way to end off the week and we could all do with a bit of calm.

Later in the day we are up up and away to Poland to embrace the last day of the International Online Theatre Festival. Log onto your browser, enter thetheatretimes.com and enjoy the famous Shakespeare play, Macbeth.

Saturday 16 May 2020

Back in SA, up early and (I couldn’t help but share again - it’s that good!) we are going on a live game drive with WildEarth.TV. Some amazing sightings and guides ready to answer any questions. Perfect for early coffee in bed with lekker rusks!

And off we go, to another continent. New York New York - oh how we love you. Very excited to share that for this weekend only you can watch the musical Cats. Log onto YouTube and there you have it.

Sunday 17 May 2020

We are going to the museum, but not any museum, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. Open up your Google Arts and Culture app and off you go. No entry fees, no queues and no crowds!

And to end off the weekend with a bang, or a rock n roll bang shall I say.. Live entertainment all the way from Sweden, Ryan Roxie is doing a live show at 6pm. You can watch it here or on . Lead guitarist of Alice Cooper and of the band Roxie77, I think it’s safe to say that it will be entertaining and exactly what you need to end off your weekend.

There it is, a full weekend of virtual travel crossing many borders, visa free and from the comfort of your home.
