What a sensational day our media team had capturing the electric race festivities at today’s Sanlam 🌍🔥 The world showed up — and Africa showed up even greater in both numbers and stature.

Running is no longer just a sport — it’s a culture, a movement and a celebration of community. From the vibrant club tents and DJs keeping the energy sky high, to friends, families and supporters lining the streets, Cape Town turned into one giant festival of movement and connection. 🎶🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️

Some of our German friends celebrated at the victory line with beautiful Webersburg bubbles 🍾🥂 — to their first time in South Africa and their very first marathon in Cape Town. What a way to experience the Mother City!

Congratulations to every single runner who crossed that finish line today. You are more than conquerors 💪🏼✨

Cape Town is officially buzzing! 🌍🔥🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️

Welcome to all the incredible runners, families and supporters from across the globe for the weekend! The energy at the opening of the expo was absolutely electric and this is only the beginning. 🇿🇦✨

A massive thank you to our friends at for joining us at the expo with their incredible wines available for tasting and purchase 🍷✨

And yes… we fully support responsible carbo-loading with wine before a marathon. Scientists can debate us later 😅🍝🍷

The Peace Run and Runs also wrapped up the curtain-raiser days on such a beautiful high — good vibes, epic views and runners soaking up the best of Cape Town before the big race weekend 🏃🏽‍♀️⛰️☀️

Now it’s time to go BIG, chase those PBs, soak in the beauty of Cape Town and enjoy every kilometre! And remember… don’t cross that finish line without your celebratory bubbles 🥂

The weekend was nothing short of spectacular. 🏔️🍷🏃🏾‍♂️

From the breathtaking views as we summited the Spioenkop mountains, to the powerful storytelling session unpacking the historic Battle of Spion Kop between British forces and the two Boer Republics, to enjoying premium wines from and paired with heartwarming fresh farm meals — every moment reflected the beauty, heritage, and hospitality of KwaZulu-Natal.

A special thank you to the Oxpecker Team for continuing to fly the sports and wine tourism flag of this beautiful province so proudly. Experiences like these remind us how sport, culture, history, food, and wine can come together to create unforgettable memories.

From wine tastings and travel conversations at Africa’s biggest tourism showcase, to trail dust and battlefield history in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal… what a week. 🍷🏃🏾‍♂️⛰️

The Mnandi Times Experiences team are wine enthusiasts, pioneers, culturalists, creatives, filmmakers and avid sports people. For us, sport is our semi wind-down 😮‍💨😂

We signed out from Africa Travel Indaba on Thursday and drove 3.5 hours into — one of Zululand’s most significant historical battlefields — for the 11th Oxpecker Africa Trail Run.

There’s something deeply special about KZN between May and June. The landscapes, the stories, the small towns, the warmth of the people… every stop invites you to stay a little longer than planned. There are simply too many moments in this province.

From the coastlines to the mountains, from heritage routes to hidden gems — calling. 🇿🇦

To our international tour operators, travel buyers and global explorers — journey with us to complete the experience beyond the exhibition halls. Next year, ungasali 😉 The real magic begins on the road.

The Africa Travel Indaba truly delivered on its mandate — a world-class global travel show wrapped in the African spirit of Ubuntu. From the incredible welcome teams at the airport, to local and international exhibitors, travel buyers from across the globe, international media, and unforgettable sundowner celebrations… it was insanely wonderful. 🌍🍷

A special thank you to Chef Cynth and Chef Koos for hosting an impromptu dinner for guests — a beautiful reminder of the South African way: opening our homes, sharing our tables, and embracing visitors from afar with warmth and generosity.

That is the spirit of Mzansi. Strength and beauty in diversity. 🇿🇦
