With a refined new look completed in April 2025, Serengeti House is looking more serene than ever. Set in the heart of Tanzania’s Grumeti Reserve, this exclusive-use villa now feels even more connected to its breathtaking surroundings, with earthy tones, organic textures, and open spaces that flow effortlessly into the landscape.

The reimagined wellness space floats above the plains, the kitchen is now the true heart of the home, and every detail leans into calm, grounded luxury.

With four suites, space for eight guests, and every creature comfort, plus private game drives, walking safaris, and access to nearby community projects, Serengeti House is the perfect retreat for families or friends seeking privacy, connection, and the full Singita experience.

Juan recently visited Chitwa Chitwa and Silvan Safari in the Sabi Sand.

At Chitwa Chitwa, the arrival was warm and welcoming, with Busi truly shining — a superstar from the start. The bar area stood out as a perfect hangout spot. The food was a highlight throughout: beautifully presented, full of flavour, and paired with delicious wines from small, interesting estates. He especially enjoyed the mimosa stop with flapjacks, cream, and passion fruit curd — a serious treat! The suites were incredibly spacious and super comfortable, offering a perfect retreat between game drives. Deon and Bethwell were friendly and courteous, making every game drive enjoyable.

Silvan Safari completely blew him away. Every single aspect of this lodge had him excited, from the beautifully designed suites and fantastic vehicles to the flawless food and attention to detail. The team was exceptional, with Licia and Shepard leaving a lasting impression. Juan couldn’t get enough and genuinely wished he had a full week to soak it all in.

Meet the Team Monday!

Meet Tarryn, the Product and Marketing Manager at Livingstone Safaris!

Tarryn began her career with a tourism degree and early experience in the Sabi Sands. After nearly a decade in hospitality, culminating as Hospitality Manager at Tswalu Kalahari, she transitioned into bespoke travel planning in Cape Town, enriched by extensive self-driven 4x4 journeys across Africa. Balancing motherhood with raising twin girls and working alongside her adventurous husband, she has spent the past decade deepening her expertise in luxury safari travel. Now leading Product and Marketing at Livingstone Safaris, she combines her hospitality background and deep African knowledge to craft unforgettable journeys, always chasing the next sunrise—and one day, would love to see the northern lights.

A little more about Tarryn!

- Beach or Safari Holiday?
That’s a tough one — I love the energy of the ocean and the call of the wild! But if I have to choose… I’d say safari (just don’t tell the beach).

- If you could explore any African country, which one would it be and why?
Chad & South Sudan have me currently intrigued because they offer something completely different.

- What’s your ideal safari activity - game drives, walking safaris, hot air balloon rides etc?
Walking in the bush is one of my absolute favourite experiences. The moment you step off the vehicle, your senses sharpen and everything comes alive — the sounds, the smells, even the light feels different. There’s an added thrill in knowing just how vulnerable you are on foot — it’s humbling and exhilarating all at once.

- What’s one African landmark or natural wonder you’d love to see in person?
Hiking up Mount Kilimanjaro.

- What’s the most unforgettable travel experience you’ve ever had?
Spending time with a gorilla family in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park is, without a doubt, my most treasured travel memory. Being in their presence — so close, so still — was both humbling and profoundly moving. It’s an experience that stays with you forever.

After years of drought, Namibia has recently been blessed with record-breaking rains, and the transformation is nothing short of breathtaking. These striking images have captured the once-dry landscapes now green and lush, alive with birds, insects, and wildlife. The desert is now teeming with life, as dormant rivers have flowed all the way to the Atlantic and quenched the thirst of the land. From Windhoek to Sossusvlei, over the dunes and past the Brandberg, the country is green as far as the eye can see, the greenest it’s been in over 20 years.

After an extensive rebuild, Chitabe has officially reopened! For nearly 30 years, Chitabe has been a favourite for its legendary game viewing and warm, homely atmosphere. The new Chitabe features more room space, more comfort, and interiors that echo the earthy beauty of the Okavango.

Set on a private concession between the Gomoti and Santantadibe channels, Chitabe is a haven for wildlife lovers — with lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, and leopards in the area. From world-class guiding to candlelit bush dinners, every moment here is designed to be unforgettable.

Back and better than ever! King Lewanika Lodge by Ker & Downey Zambia officially reopened on 4 April 2025 after a soft refurb—and it’s looking spectacular.

Set in the heart of Liuwa Plain National Park, one of Africa’s most remote wilderness areas, the lodge still delivers that wild, untamed magic—now with elevated comfort and thoughtful new touches.

The lodge now features six refreshed safari tents (including a family unit), an updated main area, in-room fridges and coffee stations, Zambia’s first rooftop game viewers, and experiences like yoga, bush cinema, a drive-thru ice cream stop, and a restaurant with menus crafted by top South African chef, Craig Cormack.

This is safari reimagined—perfect for second-timers, crowd-dodgers, and wilderness lovers seeking something truly special & unique.

Earlier this week, Sussi gifted our team something truly special. We swapped screens for soul-nourishing stillness at , a regenerative sanctuary in the heart of Franschhoek.

For three days, we reconnected—with ourselves, each other, and nature—through creativity, reflection, and pure presence. From Sound Journeys and sunrise yoga to dream manifestation, pottery, and playful garden games, every moment invited us to slow down and just be.

We loved every single moment here and could not be more grateful to Nicole, Fleur and the incredible team at Sterrekopje for this wonderful gift we carry with us.
