Meet Benjamin, the Concierge at Livingstone Safaris!
Ben has long been at ease on both sides of hospitality, as guest and as host, a perspective that began in the African bush, where he spent his school holidays working in safari lodges. Those early years gave him an instinctive sense of what makes a stay truly special: a warm welcome, thoughtful details and people behind the scenes who somehow make everything feel effortless.
Over the past decade, Ben has travelled widely and built on that foundation with a career spanning luxury hotels, private members' clubs, fine dining, private guiding and concierge services across South Africa, London and Monaco. Along the way, he has developed an intuitive feel for what each guest needs.
Now based in Cape Town, Ben brings that experience home to Africa. Whether he is securing a table at a sought-after restaurant, arranging a bespoke experience, adding something special to a birthday or anniversary, or simply being a familiar voice when plans change, he gives every guest his considered, personal attention.

- Beach or Safari Holiday?
Safari, ideally from a rooftop tent. But my soul has so much space for the tides. Tough one!
- If you could explore any African country, which one would it be and why?
Angola. I'd follow the Okavango back to where it starts in the highlands, then drive down to where the Namib meets the Atlantic.
- What’s your ideal safari activity - game drives, walking safaris, hot air balloon rides etc?
A walking safari. On foot you notice the small things: tracks, birds, plants.
- What’s one African landmark or natural wonder you’d love to see in person?
Kalambo Falls, on Zambia's border with Tanzania.
- What’s the most unforgettable travel experience you’ve ever had?
Overlanding through Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia this August, with nights in a rooftop tent in remote Botswana and nobody else for miles. We are in the business of creating holidays that seamlessly settle into magic, so it was insightful to live the contrast: a trip that was magical, but certainly not seamless.
