&Beyond has refreshed the accommodation and guest areas at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp in Kenya’s Maasai Mara.

Set beneath a lush forest canopy, the camp’s former 12 Classic tents have been transformed into six spacious Superior tents. Singita Lebombo Lodge has unveiled an exciting refurbishment, further enhancing the experience at the 15-suite lodge on a private concession within the Kruger National Park. The refreshed main lodge now features a curated art gallery showcasing works from across Southern Africa, alongside artefacts discovered on the concession, as well as a welcoming new lounge area. Interiors throughout the lodge have been redesigned in warm earthy tones with layered textures and soft furnishings, while the suites have been upgraded with double glazing and opening windows to improve cooling efficiency and natural ventilation. Guests can also enjoy a new wine pavilion for tastings, complete with floor-to-ceiling wine displays and a redesigned cellar that creates a more intimate and immersive wine experience.

Teresa recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Kenya with Africa in Focus, beginning with a warm welcome at Hamilton House, where she enjoyed the beautiful gardens, cosy atmosphere and exceptional hospitality from Lulu. Her journey then took her through Laikipia, including stays at Sosian Lodge and Offbeat Ndoto, where highlights included sunrise views from Baboon Rock, camel riding, bush dining experiences and an incredible sighting of a lion resting in a tree, alongside the memorable experience of running with a Maasai warrior. Teresa’s final stop at Cottar's Safari Camp was a clear favourite, thanks to its stunning setting, exceptional guiding and hosting, beautifully designed family tent and thoughtful attention to detail throughout the experience.
