MANTA RAYS and TURTLES!! An excited group left this morning with Captain Blank headed for various snorkel sites as well as Manta Point. There were a lot of snorklers in the water but they saw both Manta Rays and turtles! A fun day out seeing the island from a different vantage point as well!

Very special day in Bali today! Galungan Kunigan Day! Galungan and Kuningan are two of Bali’s most sacred festivals. Galungan marks the triumph of dharma (good) over adharma (evil), and the return of ancestral spirits to bless the family. Kuningan, ten days later, marks their return to the spirit world. The streets are lined with penjors (bamboo poles decorated beautifully with palm frond decor) and everyone wears traditional temple dress. A tour around Nusa Lembongan visiting the Mangrove Swamps where the group were poled through the swamps crystal clear waters. On to tropical Maghiri Beach with its famous swing and then on to the famous Yellow Bridge! Lunch at picturesque Mushroom Bay before a stop at Devils Tears Blow hole and Dream Beach plus a stop at the seaweed farming which is used for cosmetics! A lovely day exploring the island.

The generosity of our groups, enabled Nengah to hand out food parcels of rice, oil and eggs to these impoverished folk in Bugbug and Jasri village. Nusa Lembongan Island was on our agenda today where we embarked on the Rocky Fast Ferry to the island. We landed at the jetty near the mangrove swamps and were soon on our way to our new hotel for the next four days!

BIG decisions!!! 8 of our ladies attended a perfume making course which had their brains on fire! Proportions, equations, properties and choices to make perfumes of their choice. Some chose floral oils, others heavier scents, spicy nose, but one thing was consistent! ..... everyone had a fabulous time and came back with perfumes to take home as a reminder of their time in Bali.

Six of our group of intrepid travellers... took on the Rice Paddy Trekking this afternoon through a traditional village, visiting a potter and a temple. They continued through rice paddies some of which were close to harvesting and others newly planted before crossing a river and stopping for balinese treats⁴, then following an undulating course through forests and jungle, finally coming out on the beach.
