GP has spent nearly two decades leading travellers through Africa.

Recently, the night before a frightening incident on tour, GP lay awake praying for his group.

He didn’t know what the next day would bring.

But he knew one thing: these were people entrusted to his care.

Experience matters. Knowledge matters. But so do awareness, calmness, compassion — and genuinely caring about the people in your vehicle.

Because a great guide doesn’t just lead the journey.

He carries responsibility for the people on it.

When Nancy's asked, "What's your favourite thing about South Africa?"

Most people expect Nancy to say the Big Five.

And yes, seeing a leopard draped over a tree or elephants crossing the road never gets old.

But that's not her favourite part.

"My favourite part is the feeling the bush gives you."

As a Peruvian, South Africa was a world away from the Andes, the Sacred Valley, and the ancient streets of Cusco. Yet somewhere between the first sunrise game drive and the last golden African sunset, the bush found a place in her heart.

Out here, life slows down.

You learn to listen more than you speak. To wait. To notice. To marvel at creation in all its beauty.
