Marc was staying at Leeuwenbosch Country House - Amakhala Game Reserve with Dr William Fowlds to learn more about his work with🦏 and range expansion through connected corridors. While Will recorded the runners with his drones, Marc jumped in with his camera.

It is an incredible feeling to be running with the Big 5 around you. To run where you saw a lion waking in the morning, or on the previous evening’s game drive. But the Be Moved Run Safari is not scripted, the wildlife go where they want, when they want - and our run routes adjust. We adjust where we can for your experience, but first and foremost we adjust them for safety and comfort of runners and wildlife.

So we don’t guarantee you will run near to animals. We just can’t.

We do promise you will run in big, beautiful, wild Africa. That we can.

There is a lot more to the https://bemovedcollective.org/ Run Safari than running. But let’s not jog around the bush…running with The Big 5 all around is the crowd puller.

It’s hard to beat eating breakfast on the deck of Woodbury Tented Camp Amakhala Game Reserve watching a male 🦁 patrolling energetically right in front of you - with a herd of buffalo not far off keeping an eye on him - all the while remembering that you were told you’d be running past the front of the deck.

Or being told at a water stop you had just run past a herd of 🐘 in the thicket, and ending up seeing them a little more out in the open as you looped back to the lodge.

Or having to get into game viewers to safely drive past a pair of female lions, eyeing you out with a little disappointment that you hadn’t made a run for it.

And finishing off your run with the Ellies on your left and a white 🦏 calmly grazing on your right.

A run to be remembered.
