Our Springbok Atlas team had the wonderful opportunity to visit Khwa ttu where they enjoyed an experience celebrating San culture, heritage and traditions.

The team experienced four authentic, San-led tours: First People, Encounters, Way of the San and Tea Tasting. Each experience offered a fascinating insight into the rich history, knowledge and traditions of the San people.

Following the tours, the team enjoyed a delicious family-style lunch at the restaurant, where every dish reflected a touch of heritage and complemented the cultural experience.

The day ended with a scenic game drive, giving the team an opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty and wildlife of the reserve.

From May 2027, Xigera Safari Lodge will offer a new two-day, one-night experience in Botswana’s Okavango Delta: The Delta’s Ancestral Passage. Exclusively available to guests staying at Xigera for four nights or more, the experience takes guests deep into the Delta’s waterways by mokoro, accompanied by guides whose families have lived alongside the Delta for generations.

Along the journey, guests will discover the Delta through stories, traditions and ancestral knowledge before spending the evening around the fire and overnighting in the wilderness.
The experience has been inspired by the conservation work of National Geographic Explorer Steve Boyes and Nkashi Trust, bringing together conservation, community and culture.

The Delta’s Ancestral Passage will be available from May to September 2027 for a maximum of six guests, with exclusive-use bookings also available. Reservations are now open for travel from May 2027:

A Day of Learning, Tasting & Good Times!

On 28 August, our team headed out for an educational day at Dekkersvlei Vineyards!
The day started with an office pick-up before we made our way to this beautiful vineyard, home of the world’s first White Pinotage, created in 2007.

We enjoyed the “Taste the Original” Tour, learning more about the vineyard and the story behind their unique White Pinotage. The experience was made even better with a delicious brunch and w**e tasting.
It was the perfect combination of learning, exploring and enjoying the beautiful Cape Winelands — and, of course, spending some quality time together as a team!

Spring has officially sprung at Springbok Atlas Tours & Safaris!

On Tuesday, 1 September 2026, we welcomed the new season with a little creativity, a lot of colour and plenty of fun as we celebrated Mad Hatters Day!

Our team was challenged to come dressed in their most creative, colourful, funny or downright crazy hats and, as always, they did not disappoint!

Our team brought their A-game and helped us kick off Spring in the best way possible
