Our team had the opportunity to site visit some of Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges’ beautiful Cape Town properties with Tammy Hunt from the Hotel group.

Kloof Street Hotel – stylish boutique accommodation near vibrant Kloof Street with incredible Table Mountain views.

Old Bank Hotel – a beautifully restored heritage building in the heart of the city.
The Three Boutique Hotel – a charming “home away from home” in historic Oranjezicht.

One of the highlights of the hotel site visits was walking from Kloof Street House Hotel through the Company Gardens to the Old Bank Hotel. It was lovely to experience the city through the eyes of a traveller.

We had the privilege of attending the Long March to Freedom educational experience at Century Boulevard, Century City.

The day began with an insightful introduction by Sarah Haines to the inspiring journey and vision behind Long March to Freedom, followed by introductions to their valued partners, Veldskoen and The Wine Spot, who shared how their partnerships connect with the experience and its powerful storytelling.

We then enjoyed a guided tour through the inspiring exhibition celebrating South Africa’s freedom heroes.

The experience continued with a delicious African culinary and wine tasting experience by Kwa Ma’Rose African Cuisine and The Wine Spot, featuring wines from emerging Black winemakers, and also seeing the proudly South African range by Veldskoen.

Thank you to the Long March to Freedom team and partners for such an educational, meaningful, and proudly South African experience.
