THE HERDS HAVE ARRIVED!
There's never a dull moment in the Serengeti and with half a million wildebeest arriving virtually overnight, it's hard to believe the sightings that our guests have had this month.
Sightings in the last week...
• Daily sightings of lion prides with cubs
• Two lionesses killing four wildebeest in one afternoon
• Four sightings of a cheetah female with three young cubs
• A pack of nine wild dogs chasing and killing a wildebeest
• A leap of leopard on the move
• Breeding herds of elephant
• Herds of migratory wildebeest all across the reserve
From Singita Grumeti the herds will soon continue their search for grazing and move up to the Lamai triangle to brave crossing the Mara River.
Perched on the northern bank of the river is Singita Mara River Tented Camp, a new generation eco-lodge that operates entirely off the grid and presents a front row seat for guests to view nature's greatest show. In September and October it's common to watch river crossings straight from the camp deck. Enquire now about their ‘6 for 5’ promotion. For more information please email [email protected]
