Today’s walking tour was a special one.

We had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful family in Khayelitsha who were referred to us by their friend, Stefan, who experienced our tour three years ago.

It means so much when a past guest not only remembers their experience, but feels confident enough to recommend ABCD Concepts to their friends and family.

Today, we walked through the streets of Site B, shared stories, connected with the community, explored local spaces and, most importantly, created new memories together.

For us, tourism is about more than showing people a destination it’s about people, stories, connection and creating meaningful experiences.

A big thank you to Stefan for the continued support and to the family for choosing to experience Khayelitsha with us today.

Three years later, the journey continues one guest, one story and one connection at a time.

It’s always special welcoming visitors from different parts of South Africa and showing them a side of Cape Town that goes beyond the usual tourist attractions.

This week, we’re excited to be hosting a wonderful group from Limpopo as they explore Cape Town, connect with our communities, experience our culture, and create memories along the way.

From Khayelitsha and Langa to the beautiful landscapes, food, stories and people that make Cape Town unique we’re looking forward to sharing an authentic experience with our guests.

We had the privilege of hosting Heather for a walking experience in Khayelitsha, and it was another great reminder of the growing interest in discovering our community, its stories, culture and people.

The interest in Khayelitsha continues to grow, and we’re excited to keep creating meaningful experiences that connect visitors with the heart of our township.

DAY 6 | KHAYELITSHA TOURISM TRADE IMMERSION

And just like that, we’ve wrapped up our Khayelitsha Tourism Trade Immersion Programme with our final day the Parting Experience.

Over the past six days, we’ve had the opportunity to welcome tourism professionals, trade partners, DMOs and industry colleagues into Khayelitsha & KwaLanga, sharing our stories, culture, heritage, businesses and experiences.

Today was about bringing it all together connecting, experiencing, sharing and celebrating what Khayelitsha has to offer as a tourism destination.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the programme, to our tourism partners and, most importantly, to the local entrepreneurs, guides and community members who continue to make these experiences possible.

Khayelitsha is open for tourism. Come experience it, connect with it and discover it for yourself.

And just like that, we’ve reached the final day of an incredible week of connecting, sharing and showcasing the experiences that make Khayelitsha such a special destination.

We are once again deeply grateful to all our peers, partners, tourism businesses, guides and guests who have joined us throughout the programme. Thank you for showing up, sharing your knowledge, supporting local businesses and helping us create meaningful connections across the tourism industry.

This programme has reminded us of the incredible people, stories, culture and experiences that exist within our communities.
