Just Jinger:Table Talk

If Table Mountain could talk
What would she whisper in the Lions (Head) ear?
What kind of Signal (Hill) would she give, to the hill?

And if she spoke spoke loud enough
Could she perhaps get through to Chapman (Peak)?
Or did he lose his peak, years ago, years ago?

Just imagine, La da da da da, la da da da da da da
This is Table Talk
La da da da da, la da da da da da da
This is Table Talk

If Table Mountain could sing
Do you think she'd be into Elvis?
I have a feeling she's always been into rock of some sorts

And if our mountain could think
Do you think she'd be into Plato?
Or did she give up long ago, and let the Cape win her Point

What's the point?
Just imagine, La da da da da, la da da da da da da
This is Table Talk
La da da da da, la da da da da da da
It's on the Table!

If Table Mountain could say anything,
What would she say?
If she could only say
What would she say?

Went for a coffee at the Tankwa Padstal on the R355 this morning. Being the end of the Africa Burn week, that place was as busy as I have ever seen it! The rains had messed up half the runway, but luckily a gyrocopter only needs a good 65 metres or so!

Anybody know what happened to this South African build gyrocopter. (CSIR test platform). Story below...

ZS-UIT is Autogyro 3 construction number SARA 3 of the CSIR. On 5, 6 and 7 October it was displayed in the main static area (where it is depicted; also note gyrocopter ZS-UGD to the left in the background)) and on 6 October it took part in the flying display. At the stage of Aviation Africa 1977 this test aircraft was one of two (the other being ZS-UGD) autogyros that were used by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for the purpose of solving aerodynamic problems concerning autogyros. The heart of the design was a simple, fully automatic, variable-geometry rotor head. Its unique characteristics allowed a high spin-up speed to be achieved. Although SARA 3 (ZS-UIT) was a larger, two-seat type, it was still a purely research aircraft. SARA 1 had a glassfibre-reinforced rotor, while SARA 3 was fitted with a metal rotor.

Koo Pan near Askham this morning at 07:00. Not even a rental car could drive on it! :) The lake bed is still very wet and the rain is apparently not going to let up soon enough so the lake-bed can dry. The farmers need the rain badly, so we won't complain!
This means unfortunately that we have to postpone the Gyro-Africa Fly-In and Formation Record attempt to the long weekend 16-19 June 2016.
Those of you affected should have received a email message to this affect. If not, please get hold of us via the website contact form on the bottom of the home page: http://www.gyro-africa.com/
