Wild Clover Hops Harvest Festival
Enjoy good food and barrels of beer at this debut harvest celebration
Celebrate the close of a successful harvest at the Wild Clover Brewery in Stellenbosch at the inaugural Hops Harvest Festival from Friday, 10 to Sunday, 12 May 2013.
This three-day long beer-themed family-friendly fiesta offers revelers a chance to sample a wide selection of first-rate locally brewed beers in one convenient spot. Wild Clover’s very own brand of craft brew will be on show, as will a variety of some of the country’s finest craft beer.
Though, heady tastings aren’t the only order of the day. Guests can keep those bellies filled with an assortment of delicious, hearty grub, including wild boar on the spit and a few German delights. What’s more, live music is sure to get those feet tapping while a host of activities and entertainment keep the little ones occupied.
Wild Clover Brewery owner and brewer Ampie Kruger oversees the making of four natural beers at the farm, namely an English ale, Irish porter, a German pils and a fruity Belgian wit. Visitors get a chance to chat to the enthusiastic beer-maker, who is always happy to talk shop with fellow aficionados and beer-lovers passionate about the art of brewing.
