The weather has settled and we're in for almost a week of perfect fishing days. I'm off to skipper our new boat in Kleinbaai for a few days while Alan and Scott keep the fish on their toes around Cape Point. There are a few winter Yellowfin offshore for those interested.
Stay tuned for the reports.

our group this morning of 5 young men from USA started off with a few skipjack tuna only 10 nautical miles off shore after hearing of a few sightings of marlin earlier this morning we set out our array of marlin lure in search. at 11:50 out short port side lure got knocked off the out rigger only to have our long starboard lure knocked down properly and a large marlin (by the sheer size and girth of fish we think it was a large black marlin) came head out the water vertically the fish was too large to come completely out the water but after peeling almost 100m of line off the Penn international 50w the hooks came loose on the fish there for leaving all of us in disappointment but we carried on to reset lines and carry on fishing but nothing more was to come of the day by 4pm we lines up and ran home to simonstown. as they say that's why it's called fishing not catching!!!!! tight lines to all

Sunday past was a good day on the water 17 miles off the point had a marlin come into the spread HOT knocked the left long down off the rigger then came in on the short corner had a quick look before leaving so we carried on trolling to find a field of skipjack tuna chasing bait so we put time in to get one for a live bait after finally getting one to eat the spinner we quickly rigged him and had him back in the water in record time after pulling him for aee2wbout a hour with no luck he died so we put our lure spread back out and by 5pm we called our marlin hunt over at least we got too see one and reports that there was two hooked on Monday so hay just have to be there to have your hand in the cookie jar Friday looks like a sea day so let's see what can progress after the wind stay bent folks.
