At Victoria Falls Bridge, you’re not just crossing from one country to another, you’re stepping into a place where history and nature meet in a very tangible way.
Built in 1905 as part of Cecil Rhodes’ railway vision, the bridge still stands strong today, suspended above the dramatic Batoka Gorge.

What makes the experience different is going behind the scenes.
Walking beneath the structure, along narrow catwalks, getting close to the steel framework, it changes the way you see it completely.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲… 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂 ✨

This February, we travelled to Ghana alongside a group of students from Imperial Business School, in collaboration with Reciprocity.
What started as a learning experience quickly became something far deeper.
In the vibrant energy of Accra, days unfolded through encounters, conversations, shared laughter and moments that can’t quite be put into words.
Strangers became a group. A group became a community.
There were discoveries, of course new places, new perspectives. But the most powerful ones happened within.
Because this is what meaningful travel does. It connects. It shifts. It stays.
And when the journey came to an end, they didn’t just return to London with memories… But with something softer, deeper, something they’ll carry with them for a long time.

In Chobe National Park, you can witness one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Africa, especially during the dry season, when herds gather along the river in impressive numbers.

But what’s even more fascinating is what you don’t immediately see.
These elephants move across a much wider landscape, linking Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Zambia, following ancient routes shaped by water, seasons, and memory.

Chobe isn’t just a park, it’s part of one of the last remaining large-scale elephant migration systems on Earth.
And when you watch a herd move along the river, you’re seeing a story that goes far beyond borders…

In February, a group of students from Imperial Business School arrived in Cape Town with curiosity, ideas… and open minds.
What followed was far more than a project.
Days spent listening, learning, questioning.
Moments of doubt, breakthroughs, shared perspectives.
Encounters with local communities that don’t just teach, they stay with you.

Alongside Reciprocity, they stepped out of the classroom and into real life, where business meets humanity, and where impact becomes personal. Because sometimes, it’s not about the answers you bring. It’s about the questions you leave with.

𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀

In many parts of Zimbabwe, basket weaving is more than a skill, it’s something that’s passed down, shared, and lived.

Often practiced by women in rural communities, each basket begins with simple, natural materials (palm leaves, grasses, bark fibres) gathered locally and shaped by hand.
What’s interesting is how each region has its own style.
In Binga District, Tonga baskets are known for their bold geometric patterns and strong structure.
In Buhera District, the work is often finer, more detailed. A different rhythm, but the same attention to craft.

But beyond how they look, these baskets carry meaning. Patterns inspired by nature, daily life, community…Each piece tells something about where it comes from, and the hands that made it.
Today, these baskets travel far beyond Zimbabwe, appreciated as both functional objects and works of art, while continuing to support local communities.

In the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, every drive begins the same way : scanning, listening, following signs. Because this is where the story of the white lions began.

In 1975, a litter of cubs with a rare pale coat was recorded here for the first time. A natural genetic mutation, not breeding, not captivity, just nature doing its own thing.
Today, they’re still part of this ecosystem, but sightings are rare.
So you track, fresh prints in the sand, movement in the distance, the behaviour of other animals.
You start reading the bush differently. And that’s what makes it special. It’s not just about the sighting, it’s about the process.
Being out there, following clues, understanding the environment and knowing that anything can happen…

Including, if you’re lucky, a glimpse of something truly unique.
