Kalk Bay Harbour Seals

Kalk Bay Harbour is home to a colony of resident Cape fur seals. These marine mammals can frequently be observed from the pier, either sunbathing on the docks or swimming in close proximity.

According to Secret Cape Town, the seals are relatively active: “you can watch seals … swimming, or sunbathing.”

It is essential to maintain a respectful distance from these wild animals, as they are accustomed to human presence but should not be fed or touched.
