CAPE TOWN LIFT CLUB TIPS
HOW TO HAVE A BETTER DAILY COMMUTE
Your transport experience isn't only about getting from point A to point B. A good commute should be predictable, comfortable and safe.
Here are a few simple tips for anyone using shared transport or ride-sharing in Cape Town:
1. BOOK AHEAD WHEN YOU CAN
If you know you need to travel at a particular time, don't leave your transport until the last minute. Planning ahead gives you more options and reduces unnecessary stress.
2. CHECK WHO YOU ARE RIDING WITH
Before getting into a shared vehicle, make sure the driver and vehicle details match what you were given through the platform.
3. USE THE CORRECT PICKUP POINT
A clear pickup location makes things easier for everyone. Avoid vague instructions like "I'm somewhere near the mall." Choose a specific, safe and accessible meeting point.
4. BE ON TIME
If you've booked a seat, remember that other people have places to be too. Being ready when the vehicle arrives helps keep the entire route running on time.
5. KEEP YOUR DRIVER INFORMED
If you're running late or your plans have changed, communicate as soon as possible rather than leaving the driver waiting.
6. RESPECT THE VEHICLE
Keep the vehicle clean, respect the driver and remember that you're sharing the space with other passengers.
7. DON'T IGNORE YOUR SAFETY
If something doesn't feel right, take it seriously. Use the platform's reporting and support functions and don't be afraid to raise a concern.
8. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE PAYING FOR
A good transport service should make the price, pickup point, route and booking conditions clear before you travel.
At Cape Town Lift Club, we're building our service around these principles because customer experience isn't something you fix after a problem happens.
It's something you build into the service from the beginning.
Cape Town is our home. We know the roads, the routes and the challenges commuters face.
Your route. Your community. Your ride.
