Happy “World Crocodile Day”!🐊 Have you heard of the crocodiles “death roll”? You can imagine from the name, that it’s not a pleasant time. Crocs roll their prey both to kill it and then to eat it. They’ll thrash their prey against rocks to break up the carcass, and sometimes wedge their prey between two rocks and roll it to snap off bits of meat! It sounds dramatic, but it’s very necessary, as a crocodiles tongue doesn’t move, and therefore they cannot chew, so they’ll roll to get chunks that they can swallow. Needless to say, crocs are extremely dangerous, and we wouldn’t recommend slipping even a finger into water that has crocodiles in it 🐊
