The Cape Camino is a pilgrim route along the Cape Peninsula. It combines sacred sites with mountains, ocean, fynbos, meditation and new friendships. Our first day started at Schoenstatt Shrine in Constantia. We climbed up Vlakkenberg and joined the Hoerikwaggo Trail before arriving at the ruins of East Fort, situated along Chapman’s Peak Drive in Hout Bay.
