What we do

Our passion for tourism began with hiking, in its most simplest form. What started as a hobby turned out to be a profession. I developed a keen interest in plants along with their medicinal properties and uses. Therefore our beginnings stem from nature. The abundant diversity of Flora and Fauna found in South Africa along with its heritage has encouraged my brother and I to pursue a ca

reer in travel and in turn enables us the opportunity to share with you in the amazing story and journey of this place at the very tip of Africa. Journey with us through pre-recorded history, from the time of the hunter-gatherers, through European colonialism, Apartheid, all the way from gaining our independence in 1994 up until present day South Africa. From the cold Atlantic Ocean to the warm Indian Ocean, explore Majestic mountain ranges, scenic coastal roads to historical homesteads and renowned wine estates. South Africa has something to offer every tourist who visits, truly making it the World in One Basket.

CAPE PENINSULA TOURS
THE CAPE PENINSULA IS A 75KM LONG FINGER LIKE COASTLINE WITH ROCKY OUTCROPS STRETCHED INTO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN.
Scenic coastal roads hugging THE PENINSULA will lead you to Cape Point (Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve). Along these roads a host of sites and places to visit awaits you to choose from. A walk through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (the worlds first indigenous botanical garden) showcases the rich and diverse flora of southern Africa.

Nestled in the heart of the Cape Floristic Kingdom is a great way to start your tour. Then we drive over Constantia Nek through the suburb of Hout Bay (here ferry's to Seal Island and the Friday night market are among many attractions to do) with a stop along Chapman's Peak Drive to appreciate views across this bay and to the harbour. This coastal road is one of the worlds most spectacular marine drives and has more than 110 bends before winding into the valley of Noordhoek bringing into eye, views of long open sandy beaches, conservation wetland areas to green grassy meadows with it's horse paddocks and rustic homesteads charming this "northern corner" (options of wine tastings, vineyard picnics to beach horse rides are arranged upon request in this area). From here a network of roads and mountain passes leads us into the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point. Comprising of 7 750 hectares of abundant fauna like springbok, bontebok, eland, baboon, ostrich and much more are often seen amongst the natural vegetation, fynbos.

Visits to it's beaches, rides on the funicular, dining at the Two Oceans restaurant to overnighting in cottages on secluded beaches with coastal trails are available here in the reserve. After leaving Cape Point the main stops along the False Bay coast are Boulders Beach penguin colony in Simonstown, a historical naval town and then Kalk Bay, a small sea-side fishing village, a hidden gem with cobbled side streets, quirky shops, antique collections with art studios, theatres, clothing boutiques, laid back and trendy restaurants. All these blended between coffee shops and bars line the main street with a picturesque harbour at it's centre. Another stop on THE PENINSULA to be noted is the Historical homestead and vineyard of Groot Constantia.

During summer, evening trips up Table Mountain cableway may also be taken due to extended operating hours to conclude your Cape Peninsula Tour. Through us you can arrange a day out around the peninsula that best suits your needs, comfort and time schedule.

The Otter Trail is a hiking trail along the Garden Route coast of South Africa and is named for the Cape Clawless Otter[1] which occurs in this region. This trail is widely regarded as one of the finest in the world and stretches from Storms River Mouth in the east to Nature's Valley in the west, is 26 km long as the crow flies and 41 km as the hiker walks. Walking the trail takes 5 days, and the 4 nights are spent in comfortable huts with superb views. The route is located entirely within the Tsitsikamma National Park, which protects an 80 km long strip of coastal mountains, forest and beaches.

The trail traverses an very scenic landscape, never straying far from the shoreline, but often climbing steeply and then descending to the beach or a river crossing. Vegetation along the way is either fynbos, dense gallery forest or open, rocky sections near the sea with an abundance of wildflowers

THE STORY OF TABLE MOUNTAIN IS ONE THAT TRACES BACK NEARLY 800 MILLION YEARS AGO WHEN THE TABLE TOP WAS STILL THE BED OF THE ATLANTIC OCEAN.
Once the refuge of early hunter gatherers and seasonal pastoralists, it too was the landmark for passing sea fearers upon their voyages and a beacon of "hope" to Nelson Mandela imprisoned on Robben Island. It stands today as one of the new seven natural wonders of the world and is the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom which is a world heritage site. The summit of Table Mountain can easily be reached by the cable car or on the many trail networks that riddle its ridges and peaks. Here are some guided day trails over the Table Mountain Range.

Explore one of these many routes and learn about the fynbos plant species along with its many traditional and medicinal uses, our cultural and indigenous knowledge systems, its rock types, animals that could be seen along the way and valuable points of interest relevant to the views seen from above!
