Fantastic opportunity to support our South African talent!!!
BACK A BUDDY: THALENTE BIYELA
At The Shred, we don’t just teach skateboarding.
We build futures.
And one of the biggest examples of that is Thalente Biyela.
From navigating a turbulent life on the streets to competing on international stages like Tampa Am, Thalente’s journey is one of resilience, discipline, and purpose. Skateboarding didn’t just change his life — he now uses it to change others.
Thalente is a vital part of The Shred family.
He runs our Skate School, mentors our youth, and shows up every single day for the next generation. He fosters confidence, structure, and belief in kids who might otherwise not see their own potential.
Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
His goal?
🇿🇦 Represent South Africa at the LA 2028 Olympic Games.
His journey starts with international qualifying events, beginning in:
📍 São Paulo, Brazil (01–08 March)
📍 Rome, Italy (7–14 June)
📍 October Qualifier (03–10 October)
To make the first stop in Brazil possible, Thalente is raising R37,400 to cover flights, accommodation, and local transport.
This isn’t just about one athlete.
This is about backing someone who has dedicated his life to lifting others.
If you’ve watched him coach your child, supported our events, or believe in the power of sport to transform lives — this is your moment to be part of something bigger.
Let’s help send one of our own to the world stage.
Every contribution matters.
Every share counts.
Every bit of belief makes a difference.
Link in his bio and ours to support.
Let’s back a buddy.
