The area offers a good choice of places to eat, drink and relax.

Apple & Pear Accommodation is a comfortable self-catering unit with a welcoming atmosphere. The unit is located on a residential plot in a quiet area in the beautiful Ceres.
The unit is ideal for couples, single travelers, business travelers and friends. The unit accommodates 2 guests and features a bedroom with a king-size bed that can be converted into two single beds. It offers an en-suite bathroom, shower, kitchenette and dining area. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, small gas stove, kettle and a microwave. The unit has free DStv and WiFi, a free-standing braai as well as an alarm system.
The unit is connected to the main house with a private entrance and there is parking in front of the premises (NB: premises are not fenced in front).

As the heart behind the Togryers Museum in Ceres, Bertdene Laubscher is more than a museum manager — she’s a passionate guardian of our town’s stories.

From preserving our rich local history to hosting school programs and community outreach events, Bertdene has helped transform the museum into a place of learning, empowerment, and pride. Whether it’s showcasing the 1969 earthquake, the lives of transport riders, or our town’s diverse heritage — her work ensures Ceres’ past is never forgotten.

💡 Under her leadership, the museum now runs on solar power, supports genealogy research, and continues to grow as a hub for education and culture.

This Women’s Month, we honour Bertdene for her dedication to heritage and community.
