Meet the Team Monday!
Meet Zandi, an Inspired Travel Assistant at Livingstone Safaris!
After graduating in 2011 with a Diploma in International Travel, she was bitten by the travel bug ever since! Her career took off as a ticketing agent for various airlines across Africa, while also working with an American hotel chain. Getting to know all these incredible destinations, which sparked her love for the world of travel and hospitality.
Since then, she has dived into just about every corner of the industry — reservations, sales, marketing, events — you name it! Along the way, she has built up a diverse skill set and passion for helping people experience this beautiful African continent.
A few years ago, she traded the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg for the fresh ocean breeze and stunning scenery of Cape Town — and she hasn’t looked back.
Today, she brings her signature Jozi flair to the team at Livingstone Safaris in Cape Town, making sure every detail behind the scenes is taken care of so that our guests’ travels unfold seamlessly.
A little more about Zandi!
- Beach or Safari Holiday?
I’m totally a beach girl—give me a sun lounger, a juicy book, and a cocktail in hand while the waves do their thing. Pure bliss!
- If you could explore any African country, which one would it be and why?
Malawi! It’s famous for having one of the largest and deepest lakes in the world—not to mention the incredibly warm and friendly people. That’s a draw card for me.
- What’s your ideal safari activity - game drives, walking safaris, hot air balloon rides etc?
Floating in a hot air balloon, drifting gently above the earth, taking in the beauty of nature.
- What’s one African landmark or natural wonder you’d love to see in person?
It may not be a specific landmark, but I’d love to visit Egypt and hear the captivating stories of Princess Cleopatra.
- What’s the most unforgettable travel experience you’ve ever had?
On safari in the Masai Mara, out of nowhere, I witnessed a leopard leap from the bush and charge at a buck grazing right in front of us. It was a completely mind-blowing moment.
