See Clarens from a whole new perspective during this magical guided night ride. As one of South Africa's safest towns, Clarens becomes even more enchanting after dark, with illuminated streets, glowing installations and the Maluti Mountains silhouetted beneath a star-filled sky.
Led by South African cycling champion Carla Oberholzer, this relaxed 45-minute ride follows a marshalled route through Clarens and Kgubetswana. There is no racing, just an unforgettable journey through the Festival of Lights.
Bring your own bicycle and decorate it with lights, or rent one of our 25 LED-lit festival bikes. Rental bikes are limited, so advance booking is recommended.
The ride departs from the Clarens Festival of Lights Ticket Booth at the Square of Lights, where riders will check in and receive a short safety briefing before setting off. Public parking is available around Clarens Town Square, just a short walk away.
