Another memorable African safari success as Mr. Matt harvested a magnificent duiker in the heart of the bushveld.

Though small in size, the duiker is one of Africa's most interesting antelope species. It is highly respected among hunters for its elusive nature.

📍Did you know?

📌 The name duiker comes from the Afrikaans word "duik," which means "to dive."

📌 When startled, these antelope quickly dive into thick cover and disappear from view.

📌 Duikers are also unique because, unlike many antelope species, they often enhance their diet with fruits, seeds, and even insects when they can.

Harvesting a mature eland is a challenge that requires a lot of walking and stalking. This trophy is truly something to be proud of.

📌 The Common Eland is the largest antelope in Africa, with mature bulls weighing up to 900 kg (2,000 lbs) or more.

📌 Despite their massive size, eland are impressive athletes and can jump over 2.5 meters high from a standing start.

📌 Bulls develop a distinctive dark tuft on their forehead and thick neck skin as they mature, giving them their impressive look.

📌 Eland are known for producing a unique clicking sound from their front tendons when walking. This sound can often be heard before they are seen.

📌 Their great endurance allows them to travel long distances across Africa’s bushveld in search of food and water.

🦌A First Trip to Africa, a Memory to Last a Lifetime!

What a day for Mr. Caleb!

He traveled to the beautiful African bushveld on his first-ever hunting safari, and the results speak for themselves.

We are so proud of him for taking this magnificent Greater Kudu bull.

Just look at those massive spiral horns on this classic animal!

For a hunter to track and harvest a trophy bull like this requires great patience, skill, and deep respect for the animal and its environment.

As you can see in the photo, Mr. Caleb’s expression says it all.

He put in the work, he trusted the process, and he is reaping the rewards.
