GERS SAFARIS offers a complete African bush hunting experience, tailor made to suite your individual needs. Situated in the wild Northern Cape Province of South Africa, Which is a malaria free area. GERS SAFARIS and its surrounding concessions are over 100 000 acres of some of the most beautiful, well managed hunting ground in all of South Africa. Many SCI and Rowland ward trophies have been harvested in the past years. The Ranch, Klein Papkuil, Is about 120km from the Kimberley airport and shopping and sightseeing is just a stone throw away. Medical assistance is within 20min of the lodge. HUNTING SEASONS & WEATHER
In South Africa, safaris can be conducted throughout the year; However, we recommend booking your safari between the months of April- October. These months offer the best hunting conditions and the most comfortable weather, while June - July are the peak of the winter months and the temperature is nice and cool. FI****MS
Calibers from .270 and upward are recommended.300 and 7mm Rem. Mag. Are regarded as optimum for your general plains game safari. Larger calibers such as .375 H&H .416, .458 or larger calibers are recommended for the Dangerous game. Good quality bullets such as Trophy Bonded Bear claw, Swift A Frame, Partition are advisable. Rifles sighted after arriving at camp. Ensure you have enough ammunition for practice. Shots in the field are taken at various distances usually with a rest or using shooting sticks. HUNTING & TERRAIN
Hunting safaris are tailor made to suit your individual needs and usually range from 6 to 12 days, throughout the year. We travel in style using well maintained customized 4x4 vehicles and comfort. The terrain is generally flat although certain parts consist of mountainous areas. The veld is Savannah grassveld interspersed with wild olive, Buffalo thorn and Karee tree.
