Dear Forever Off The Track Thoroughbreds supporters.

Please note part of our job is assuring all parties involved in the horse you are wanting to purchase have to all be happy with the terms and conditions set for the horse before it leaves their care and goes into your care.

One of these terms is the approval of the stable yard where you want to move your potential horse after it leaves te racing yard that currently houses it.

Alot of thought goes into how the yard will benefit the horse as an individual and how the yard is equipped to help the horse handle the transition from racing to "hack" life.

References are gathered to assure the necessary parties that the horse is in the best possible care to make sure this transition is smooth and as natural a transition as possible.

If the yard you have chosen to take your horse to is declined, please dont take it out on Chelsea or I. A lengthy process has gone on behind the scenes before you receive the "yay" or "nay" and trust us, we just want what's best for the horse and of course we want the current owners, trainers and other parties to be comfortable that the horse is going into your care with all the references, paperwork and precautions in place.

Its alot of hard work ... its alot of confidential messaging between reliable and updated references throughout all hours of the day, its grumpy clients, its emotional references spending hours on the phone.... its alot of hard work .... all in all it's just a mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically it's a hard job.

So please. Bare with us ... it's a process, there are protocols to be met, there are other parties that need to approve. Dont take it out on us.

At the end of the day we do it all because we love the horses.

Hi All Forever OTTB Fans.

A not so enlightening message however we feel it's something that needs to be said.

Please everyone inquiring about horses. Make sure that you are serious before giving false hope. We've had numerous people contacting us interested in horses and when it come down to the final few steps in our homing procedure, we get let down. 90% of the time at the last minute.

Please understand this is very frustrating for us and we have numerous horses looking for homes.
We understand it is a difficult time for all, but if this is the case in your situation , please, don't inquire. We appreciate everyone offering homes for the horses however we need to be sure.

Thank you to those who have offered special horses beautiful homes. We are so grateful for you.
