In other news, eThekwini Municipality has revealed plans for a R1 billion amusement park on the site of the former Durban Funworld, slated for completion in 2027. This development is set to create approximately 900 construction jobs and more than 500 permanent jobs in areas including hospitality, technical roles, and entertainment.
