Some suites offer extraordinary views.

These two offer something even more lasting.

At One&Only Cape Town, every stay in the Presidential Suite contributes to the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation’s Turtle Hatchling Programme, helping rescue, rehabilitate and release vulnerable sea turtles back into the wild.

Meanwhile, every stay in the Table Mountain Suite supports the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Threatened Amphibian Programme, helping protect the critically endangered Table Mountain Ghost Frog and the fragile mountain streams it calls home.

By simply choosing one of these Signature Suites, your clients become part of something much bigger, supporting meaningful conservation efforts that help protect South Africa’s incredible biodiversity.

Because true luxury isn’t only about where you stay. It’s about the difference your journey leaves behind.

Travel beautifully but travel meaningfully.

Ugly? We couldn’t disagree more. 🥹🤎

The Ugly Five may never steal the spotlight from the Big Five, but Africa wouldn’t be the same without them.

The term “Ugly Five” is a light-hearted nickname for the warthog, blue wildebeest, spotted hyena, marabou stork and lappet-faced vulture. Their unusual features may have earned them the title, but each one plays an essential role in keeping Africa’s ecosystems healthy.

Next time you’re on safari, don’t just look for the Big Five. Keep an eye out for the Ugly Five too, they’re full of character, fascinating to watch and definitely deserve a spot in your camera roll.

Which member of ‘the Ugly Five’ is your favourite?

Safari has a language of its own.

The more time you spend in the bush, the more familiar it becomes. One day you’re asking what spoor means… the next you’re spotting it before anyone else.

Stay tuned for more safari lingo, and tell us which word you’d like us to explore next.

There couldn’t have been a more fitting place to spend the eve of Mandela Day.

Yesterday, Queanne had the honor of stepping inside Sanctuary Mandela, a place where history isn’t confined to a museum display or a chapter in a book. It lives quietly in the walls, the gardens, the artwork, and in the stories so thoughtfully shared throughout the home.

As we walked through each room, it became impossible not to pause. Not because of grandeur, but because of what this home represents. A reminder that true leadership was never about power, but about humility. That kindness is strength. That forgiveness can change a nation. That peace is something we choose, every single day.

Perhaps that’s what moved us most. Not simply that this was once Madiba’s home, but that it continues to honour the values he lived by, inviting every guest to reflect on them long after they leave.

Let us not forget that the greatest legacy we can leave is found not in what we achieve, but in how we make others feel, how we treat one another, and the hope we choose to carry forward. Happy Mandela Day, South Africa. 🇿🇦❤️

Every now and then, you come across a place you almost want to keep to yourself 🍍

📍 Tucked away in Bantry Bay, say hello to PETITE Pineapple House

This beautifully designed three-bedroom, two-bathroom coastal retreat is the kind of place that feels like home. Complete with a fully equipped kitchen, private plunge pool and beautifully curated interiors, it’s perfect for families or couples looking to experience Cape Town at their own pace.

Choose whether to include breakfast, enjoy daily servicing, and if you’re celebrating something special, a private chef or evening turn-down service can be arranged on request.

Just moments from Cape Town’s beautiful beaches, cafés, restaurants and bars, it’s the perfect balance of convenience and tranquillity.

It’s boutique. It’s beautifully personal. And it’s exactly the kind of hidden gem we love sharing with our travellers.

Somewhere along the way, luxury became one of travel’s most overused words.

But after years of exploring this remarkable continent, we’ve come to believe it has very little to do with five stars.

It’s about purpose.

It’s about meaningful experiences.

It’s about going beyond the ordinary and allowing Africa to surprise you, challenge you, inspire you, and ultimately leave you feeling different than when you arrived.

Because the journeys that stay with us aren’t defined by where we slept.

They’re defined by how deeply we connected, with a place, its people, its wildlife, and ourselves.

That’s the kind of luxury we’ll choose, every time.

Seychelles is calling… should we answer? 🇸🇨

We certainly think so.

This week, one of our Travel Designers, Erica is exploring the islands, soaking up everything that makes Seychelles such a special destination 🌴

There’s something invaluable about experiencing a place for yourself. It allows us to design journeys that go beyond the highlights and reflect the moments that make a destination truly unique and bespoke.
