WOWZULU has created a network of marketplaces throughout KwaZulu-Natal that offer community owned tourism. Here you can enjoy storytelling, taste local food, be served delicious coffee and buy exquisitely designed hand made craft produced by local crafters. All while knowing you are contributing to job creation, enterprise development and securing income for women and youth in rural KZN. WOWZULU is powered by Africa!Ignite, a Durban-based non-profit rural development agency that has worked across rural KwaZulu-Natal for more than a decade and whose team know the province like the back of their hands. At the heart of all Africa!Ignite does is the quest to help women and youth in the province’s achingly beautiful but materially poor deep-rural areas to improve their lives by earning a decent living and learning marketable skills. To create the WOWZULU offer, Africa!Ignite has partnered with a range of tourism partners and financing in South Africa and Europe.
