At Offroad Routes and Tours, we do guided self-drive trips to interesting places in Southern Africa that have remained preserved as close to the original natural beauty. A 4-wheel drive vehicle rigged for camping is essential to reach some of the most beautiful spots. We travel for the pure joy of it and few things beat the sense of freedom when exploring places where only some have dared to ventu

A surprise Meob run — and we’re not complaining.

We’re heading back into one of Namibia’s most sacred corners — Meob Bay and the endless desert that holds it.

Mana Pools—what a place …

Sunrise through cathedral-like trees, elephants moving quietly through golden light, and the deep, grounding stillness that invites you to simply sit and look.

The hippos grumbled from the river below, crocs stretched out in the sun like ancient statues, and the whole place seemed to breathe in slow motion.

Evenings brought their own kind of magic—campfire crackle, stories shared under stars, and the kind of quiet that wraps around you like a blanket.
