Private and exclusive tours in Cape Town and surrounds. Andante Tours is a private tour operator owned and managed by Danie de Villiers.

We offer guided tours in and around Cape Town and the Western Cape. We specialize in private and exclusive tours for smaller groups and families of 2 to 6 people, although we can handle groups of up to 25 people. As the groups are smaller we will adapt any tour to the specific needs and interest of our guests. Danie is a fully qualified and licensed tourist guide and is registered with the National Registrar of Tourist Guides. We have five standard tours covering Cape Town, the Peninsula around Cape Point, the Winelands covering the scenery and cellar tours and tasting, the Overberg to Hermanus and its whales and the West Coast. Other frequently visited places are Robben Island, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden (one of the five most visited tourist sites in the country), the Breede River Valley and the Castle of Good Hope – but we will take them anywhere they want to go!

We visited the West Coast National Park, Postberg Section yesterday, and were blown away by the beauty of the wild spring flowers. Definitely not as beautiful as last year due to the driest July in 50 years, it was still spectacular!

We had a family from Sussex in England on a Peninsula tour with five sidecars yesterday. We stopped in at the Buffelsfontein visitor centre to see the Mother Africa exibition, and the last picture shows the low cloud covering from the Cape Point viewpoint.

The Assegaai Submarine Museum in Simon’s Town -tours

The engine block of the SS Clan Stuart that ran aground on Mackerel Beach outside Simon’s town in November 1914 during a fierce South Easter. The 3500 ton Clan Stuart was a British turret steamer, and the wreck is visible from the main road and is a popular diving site.

We walked part of the Hermanus Cliff Path today with my two nieces. It is a really nice walk. We saw whales, seals and beautiful coastal scenery, and ended it with a great fish and chips at Bientangs Cave. Absolutely worth going to Hermanus for that!! And the cherry on the cake afterwards - the Springboks beat England!!
