I want to share an important update about travelling to Mauritius.

Starting on October 1, 2025, the Mauritian government will introduce a Tourist Fee of EUR3 per guest, per night. The fee is part of their effort to support sustainable tourism and improve infrastructure across the island.

The fee will be charged to travellers staying in official accommodations like hotels, guesthouses, tourist residences and private estates, where the fee will be collected at check-in. The good news is that children under 12 are exempt from this fee.
