A FEW DAYS AT VERANDA PALMAR BEACH 🇲🇺
There’s a point a few days into a holiday when a hotel stops feeling like somewhere you’ve checked into and starts feeling like somewhere you know.
You know the quickest path to the beach, where you want to sit at breakfast and your favourite spot by the pool. The staff recognise you, too.
For our group of 20, Veranda Palmar Beach has quickly become that place.
Set on Mauritius’s east coast, this colourful, intimate resort feels distinctly tropical, with white sand, swaying palms, bright buildings and the Indian Ocean right at its edge.
It’s also proved perfect for a group. Some head to the beach, others settle by the pool, while someone is always ordering a drink, heading to dinner or suggesting another cocktail. Everyone finds their own rhythm before coming back together.
But what we’ve noticed most is the people.
There’s genuine warmth in the way you’re looked after here, the little conversations, being remembered and the feeling that the staff truly care about your experience.
We were celebrating an anniversary during on our first night , and the sweetest surprise was waiting in our room, followed by another special touch at dinner. ❤️
Nothing overdone, just thoughtful, personal gestures that made an already special day even more special.
And with 20 of us here, there’s plenty more to celebrate before the trip is over. 🥂
That’s why we travel to the destinations we sell. You can look at photographs, read a fact sheet and check how many restaurants a hotel has, but you don’t really know a place until you’ve lived in it for a few days.
Until you’ve eaten there, slept there, spent lazy afternoons there and experienced the little things you’d never find on a booking page.
Veranda Palmar Beach has given us a beautiful slice of Mauritius, and we’re sure there are plenty more memories to come. 🇲🇺🌴
