As Heritage Month draws to a close, we take a moment to honor The Blue Train, an enduring symbol of South Africa's rich cultural tapestry.

Initially launched in the 1920s as the Union Express, this luxurious train seamlessly connected Johannesburg and Cape Town.
After a brief hiatus during World War II, it made a grand return in 1946, adopting the beloved moniker "Blue Train" in homage to its iconic, blue-painted steel carriages, first introduced in 1937.
