Last week, some of our crew joined Save a Fishie and many other incredible volunteers at Gansbaai Caravan Park and the De Kelders tidal pool for a beach clean-up! A whopping 71 kilograms of trash was removed from the De Kelders area alone, and we couldn't be happier about it.
Save a Fishie is currently on their Coast 2 Coast campaign, during which they are travelling along South Africa's coastline, not only cleaning up waste and pollution but also inspiring communities. Their journey will be split into six trips throughout the year, targeting different areas each time. This trip focused on the Overberg area, where a total of 529 kg of litter was cleared from the environment. In 2025, the team and coastal communities managed to remove an impressive 7,7 tons across South Africa.
