Hard work for 2 weeks but we did it.

We took a private school of Grabouw on the first day fynbos trail and the kids enjoyed it as well as the teachers. Some of them said it was the best trip they have ever been on. Some were tired and some got hungry along the way, but nevertheless they pulled through. They will write a test on some of the fynbos vegetation and we would like to wish them all the best and are pleased to see that at that age they are passionate about our Floral Kingdom and want to wish them all the best for their future.

The trainee guides were busy last Friday as they took a group of the football foundation volunteers on a tour guide through the forest of Grootbos and up the hills through the Fynbos. The junior guides joined as well in preparation of taking the guests on guided tours in the near future.

Hey my name is Khanyisa Dyesi and I am 26 years of age and I stay in Masakhane; Gansbaai.
I have completed one year of Horticulture studies and i'm currently in my second year studying FGASA level 1 Nature guide.
I also attended a First Aid course.
I enjoy being exposed and exploring the natural environment. I also like learning about different species of plant and their Latin names.
My best moment was visiting the Pendennis Castle in the UK because we had a tour guide who told us about the English history.

Come visit us and we will take you to the wonders and joys of Fynbos and in to our Natural surroundings!!!

Hello I am Anchelle Damon and I am a trainee guide at Grootbos nature reserve. I am 27 years old and I live in Stanford a few kilometers from Gansbaai.
I attended the growing the future project in 2012 and completed it, I am now busy with my FGASA training. I totally enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and seeing different types of plants, birds and antelope species we've got on the reserve.
The highlight of being with the Grootbos foundation for me would definitely be the trip to England where we visited the Eden project which I have found personally fascinating.
I look forward to start with the tours as soon as I finish my course.
