A week of blissful weather, brilliant golf and a superb event once again....The winners of the 30th Fancourt Amateur Open (72 holes) were Pierre Le Roux (Medal A Division) on 294 nett and Daniel de Freitas (Individual Stableford B Division) on 144 points.....congratulations to you both!!!! It was a close call !

Thanks hugely to Fancourt Green Keeping Staff for maintaining the two courses Montagu and Outeniqua in such excellent condition and also to Fancourt Management and their respective teams, you rock!

Our 30th Fancourt Amateur Open takes place next week with 136 players from all over the country and abroad ... 72 holes on Montagu and Outeniqua will determine our A Division Medal and B Division Individual Stableford winners...weather predictions are perfect for the week....the courses immaculate... wishing all players a great, fun, competitive event and the best of luck…thanks to the Fancourt team, and our sponsors….

After a very successful Fancourt Amateur Open last week (results are on our website home page: https://www.annielawsongolf.co.za/, we are now full steam ahead with the Betterball Stableford Classic being held from 22nd to 26th September which includes the Links, Outeniqua and Montagu.

Just for your information, the Links will be closing next year from April until November, so this is an opportunity to enjoy the course while you can in September this year at our event which is limited to 60 players. Dear Golfers,

I have managed secure firm times for 1 fourball on St Andrews Old for 1st, 9th & 27th August 2024 and then 12 spots (3 x 4) on 25th September 2024 which involves accommodation at the Fairmont and a full itinerary package in order to secure the firm spots.

The itinerary and costs are therefore put together as follows: 6 nights accommodation with English Breakfasts at the Fairmont, 5 rounds with Clubhouse lunches (excludes Caddies/Buggies), St Andrews Old (firm), St Andrews New, Castle Links, Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, All Golf Course return transfers, Airport transfers from Edinburgh airport return, Dinner at the Fairmont, Dinner in Old Tom Morris Bar & Grill, Experience team on call to assist with any requirements - Cost GBP 6,545 per person sharing, GBP 7,850 Single … all booze, gratuities, additional meals etc. are excluded.
Please let me know as urgently as possible if you are keen to take up any of these options - several of you have enquired so now I have managed to come up with this which is subject to availability on time of booking.
Once bookings are made they require a deposit with the balance payable two months prior to departure.
You can obviously extend your trip and do Turnberry, Gleneagles or whatever which I can help you with if so required.
