At our Kids’ Flight Golf Day dinner on 3 June, we had the privilege to meet one of our patients we flew on 21 March 2025 after he was attacked by a crocodile. Guests were deeply moved by a powerful and emotional speech delivered by Dr Johann Horn, ROCKET’s Chief Medical Officer, alongside 7-year-old Johandré Blom.

Together, they shared a heartfelt message about the urgent need for Kids’ Flight – a service dedicated to providing critical aeromedical assistance to children across South Africa.

Thank you, Johann and Johandre, for reminding us all of the true impact of this mission.

🏌️‍♂️⛳ Kids' Flight Golf Day – A Swinging Success!
On 3 June, the greens of Houghton Golf Club came alive for a cause close to our hearts — the Kids’ Flight Golf Day, proudly hosted to raise awareness and funds for Kids' Flight, operated by Henley Air and ROCKET.

Kids’ Flight is a South African non-profit who provides lifesaving, ICU-equipped helicopter emergency transport for critically ill or injured children under 12 who cannot afford it. Funded through donations, Kids’ Flight ensures rapid access to specialist care, helping to save young lives in time-critical emergencies.

With a full field of golfers, generous sponsors, and a vibrant spirit of giving, the day was a resounding success. Every swing, putt, and cheer brought us closer to making a lasting difference in the lives of children in need of urgent aeromedical transport.
