Eventually got to visit Four Cousins in Robertson on Sunday. Pity we could not do a wine tasting but next time.
Had breakfast which was well worth it. Service was great and we will definitely be back to do that wine tasting.
Decor was so on point and not at all what I expected from the road. Very nice setup.

Quick Review: Magnificent Scenery of Autumn hued vineyards and the tranquil surroundings with views of the spectacular Simonsberg mountain.

Delectable Champagne Barons de Rothschild from the Champagne Region in France - bubbles definitely evaporated when swallowing!

Delicious Pan fried gnocchi, fricassee of mushrooms, asparagus ans nasturtium pesto. (Note to self - next time lick the plate!)

Crispy patagonian squid, shaved fennel, citrus coriander dressing, charred lime yoghurt and crispy basil pared with 2019 Rupert & Rothschild Baroness Nadine Chardonnay who lives up to her Inviting flint and mineral aromas with fresh lemon blossom and grapefruit nuances. A delicate composition of lemongrass and lightly roasted macadamia nut.

I was spoilt with a chefs dessert for my birthday surprise ...
A bitter dark chocolate box containing red wine gel, rose mouse and definite hints of turkish delight add to that a healthy chocolate mouse hidden in the layers... pure zen

W would be for Waterkloof. Beautifully situated on the mountains overlooking Strand and Gordon's Bay. Beautiful setting. Good cheese and rwalky good wines. Atmosphere to die for and a top class restaurant too I believe.
