Settlers Safaris was founded by Murray Crous in 2002. As a child of six years old he was introduced to hunting by his father. Although based in the MALARIA FREE Eastern Cape of South Africa, we hunt throughout Southern Africa and offer 46 species to be hunted including all of the Big 5.

A while ago Murray's father shot a beautiful bushbuck with a well placed shot through the heart. Today, Charl took his father out and he managed to bag a big old warthog female. The highlight was the two legends hunting together...and man was that an outing i won't forget soon!

We welcome Lukáš to the 50" club, and in true South Africa tradition, we made sure that he got the full experience ....not bad for your first kudu bull.
We have hunted this Kudu for more than two seasons on our free-range concession, with no luck. He always outsmarted us, but today, he met his match. At 282m, we couldn't get any closer, and we decided to take the shot. With a very well places heart shot, this magnificent kudu ran 20m and expired. Well done Lukáš on a kudu of a lifetime. To the first of many🍻

Bumped into this old warrior today.... what a awesome trophy.
After three days of hard hunting we managed to find this stunning bushbuck on the edge of a valley,hiding out of the wind. We got within 200m and knocked him down.

So after some hard hunting, long hours in the blind trying to outsmart the night critters,we managed to get two down.
It's not easy to get a shot with all the thick vegetation around. You have to shoot quick and take every opportunity you get.
Hopefully the other animals cooperate, at the end of the day it's hunting there are no guarantees......

We had been after buffalo for three days but the right bull just didn't present itself...
Day 4 and it all changed with this stunning bull coming out of the coastal thicket and giving us what we have been searching for....hats off to our client that soldiered through it all.
