Roughing it in Botswana’s bush, but at least we’re cruising in style!
Being able to hunt out of a Cruiser like this really takes me back. I’ve included a picture from one of our trips to Zim with my dad, where we used to trek it out for weeks in a Cruiser just like this. Happy days! Some experiences stick with you forever.

Everyone’s talking about the two Airlink planes flying low over the rugby stadium, but nobody seems to mention that I was hot on their heels.
Unfortunately, I was just a little too late to feature in the video. Probably for the best, though, considering I still haven’t got round to getting my pilot’s licence😅

Little miss Mila is growing up fast. Almost 5 months old…and clearly all the fresh venison is turning her into a tank! If she wasn’t so stubborn I’d have to rope her into the safari business at this rate. Unfortunately, Tikka runs the show and would not approve😅

November 2015, at the end of an amazing season in Mahimba. That place will always have a special place in my heart.
Dig out those old albums! Who has the oldest picture from the Mahimba days? Oldest photo gets a vervet monkey, free of charge, on their next safari! 🤣

One of the rare moments Tikka actually stays still for longer than a second. I consider myself very lucky to be this little firecracker of a Jack Russell’s sidekick.

The Red Hartebeest

This antelope has its fair share of admirers and critics. Say what you like, but the Red Hartebeest is one of Africa’s most unique-looking antelope…and this bull right here is a fantastic example of the species!

After guiding on a few hundred Cape buffalo over the years, I can say no two are ever the same.
Drops, big bosses, strong hooks or spread…everyone has their own idea of what makes a great buffalo. And this bull? He had so many of the traits people look for. I was incredibly lucky to guide on him.
At the end of the day, every buffalo is a great buffalo, and I am incredibly grateful for my role in making someone’s dream encounter come true!
