Kleinhans Sr., a pioneer of the game conservation and Safari industry in the country of South Africa. Based in the game rich and popular Eastern Cape of South Africa, our safaris take place in all nine of the South African Provinces as well as a new concession which we now have exclusive hunting rights to in Mozambique. 1 000 mm of rain in 2026, after 8 years of drought in our area.
The first picture was taken today, the second during the drought. Conditions were so severe that we had to put out feed to try to keep the animals alive.
Seeing the land this green again is an absolute blessing. We’re incredibly grateful, and I’m sure the animals are too!

Hell hath no fury like a “Kroon kiewiet”protecting its nest!🤣
These birds (Crowned Lapwings) are incredibly territorial, regardless of their small stature. Think of them as the Jack Russells of the bird world…
The first picture was taken a few days ago, this morning I spotted a well-camouflaged egg in the same area. That explains the attitude!

We’re nearing the end of the 2026 hunting season, BUT these two old bulls are a good reminder that the season isn’t over until it’s over.
Two more safaris to go before we wrap up for the year. Happy hunting and stay safe everybody!

We’re celebrating a very special birthday today! Started the day with cake + the kids and I singing to Natia. I’ll admit, not the best-sounding choir, but what we lack in talent, we make up for in love! 🤣
Brains, beauty and the biggest heart. I couldn’t wish for a better wife or mother to my children. You bring out the best in all of us.

Not everyone’s cup of tea, perhaps, but the Red Hartebeest certainly has a look all of its own. Whatever your opinion, there’s no denying this is one impressive bull!

Today’s hunt produced another 40”+ Gemsbuck for the year. You don’t get tired of seeing animals like this!

Talk about a golden moment…
Our client’s first African safari & very first day out in the bush!
The encounter happened deep in a valley, but of course we carried this beautiful animal up to make sure it had its “golden moment”. Spotted these native “pin-cushion” fynbos flowers…a better picture could not have presented itself 🇿🇦

Never a dull moment… a swarm of bees decided to move in on the back deck!

Luckily, we were able to safely remove and relocate them with no injuries.
And before anyone asks… that’s my son and son-in-law in the suits. Captain Chaos had absolutely nothing to do with this one! 😅

Usually these otters are a very rare sight, but there are 3 who frequent the area around the beach lodge. I count myself very lucky to take in a view like this from the balcony!🇿🇦
