In 2021 when we started joining the dots of the off undiscovered routes along the 220km of the Cape Whale Coast, we had two rules:

⛔️No Roads
🍃Stick to Nature

We then created hikes and walks along the entire coast, weaving our way through untouched beauty.

It’s here that we discover and get to share with our small groups of intrepid walkers, sightings such as this.

We are also conservationists and report all sightings to the relevant conservation bodies, so they can see what is going on in the oceans and mountains that they simply can’t get to.

The creature that lived in this shell is fascinating.

Two or three days in the heart of The Kogelberg Biosphere.
An all-inclusive break in nature:

👉 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏: Check-in after lunch. Meet your guide and ease into the wilderness with a gentle, scenic walk along the crystal-clear Palmiet River. This peaceful 10km trail winds through the heart of the Kogelberg Biosphere, offering views of rugged peaks, unique fynbos, and abundant birdlife. Take a refreshing dip in one of the river’s natural pools before heading back to your secluded eco-cabin nestled in nature. Evening includes sundowners, a hearty dinner, and stargazing under the clear sky.

👉 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐: Wake to freshly brewed coffee or tea, champagne air, birdsong, and sweeping mountain views.
There’s time for an early morning dip in the crisp mountain river, if you wish, before enjoying a fresh continental breakfast and packing up for the day’s walk. The trail begins in the fynbos-rich Oudebosch Valley, winding upward beneath the canopy of indigenous forest. Along the way, pass sculpted rock formations and pause at breathtaking viewpoints over the coastline and cascading waterfalls. From the summit, descend into the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, home to one of the most botanically diverse floral regions on Earth.
At the end of the trail, your transport will be waiting with your luggage — ready to return you to your car, or carry you onward to your next adventure.

Rather than heading out, we’ll transport you back to your mountain eco-cabin, where a massage therapist will be waiting for you on your wooden deck. Enjoy sundowners, swims, dinner and drinks, a leisurely breakfast to the views and birdsong, with check-out at 09h30.
