Katse dam ride from the border at Fouriesburg. This road IMHO is one of the most spectacular rides in SA/Lesotho, over 300 corners in just over 80km, bloody marvellous i say!

Look we dont get them here yet, i've seen some a few Kove bikes around but this might well be the way to go for cash strapped Saffas if we are to preserve mid sized adventure biking..

3 things you need to know about the new Voge DS900X.

In the latest issue of Adventure Bike Rider, we've tested the new Voge DS900X to see how this affordably priced adventure bike performs. Here's 3 key things you need to know:

1) It shares an engine with the BMW F 900 GS. Voge is owned by Loncin, which also builds engines for BMW on the same production line. So, the 895cc parallel-twin that powers the DS900X is a winning unit.

2) It's one of the best value adventure bikes on the market. As standard, it comes with a 3-piece luggage system, fully-adjustable suspension, centre stand, keyless ignition, quick shifter, cruise control, a large 7” TFT dash, heated grips and seat, blind spot assistance, and more. You even get a dashcam mounted in the front fairing, and you get all that for just £8,999.

3) The handling is impressive. Fully-adjustable KYB suspension back and front offer plenty of comfort and stability, it comes shod with proven Pirelli Scorpion Trail tyres, and the Brembo brakes do an excellent job at hauling the bike to a stop.

With this in mind, is it worth buying over its rivals? Are Chinese bikes the future of motorcycles? Find out in the latest issue of Adventure Bike Rider. Click the link below to get your copy with free UK postage: https://www.adventurebikerider.com/product/current-issue-printed-magazine/

We in South Africa watch as ridiculous new pricing on petrol engined machines kills off biking in general , never mind even thinking of embracing electric motorcycles...

Why are so many of today’s bikes following a similar formula, and what does the future hold?

What a Anus horribilis 20 and 21 were, so many deaths, the world changed, travel came to a standstill worldwide and we all took stock of our lives and what's important.. Clearly riding is back on top of that list right?

Ok the good news is you're still here and you love riding, so lets start planning to ride again on trips away. My old friend Greg and i are looking forward to the end of covid border restrictions (soon) so we can once again cross into Eswatini and Lesotho with minimum fuss on some of our (in)famous (300 corner roads in Lesotho like Katse dam, Mohale dam and Semonkong Lodge rides.

We are planning 2-4 night away trips with at least 60 days notice so we can allow people to plan their lives, get leave etc to join us for lots of laughs and amazing scenery

We ask that if you are interested in being on this mailing list (we are starting fresh) email me on [email protected] for us to start building a data base of singles, couples and people who just love to explore
Cheers!

Ok expensive, but potentially lifesaving for bikers stuck in remote areas

There’s nothing more likely to disrupt the perfect day out riding than the dreaded flat tire. It’s especially annoying when you are running inner tubes and need to pull the wheel completely off for a lengthy repair. Sure, you can run tubeless rims and quickly plug a tire without removing the whe...
