HERMANUS READY TO WELCOME VISITORS

This week visitors to Hermanus will be welcomed by a tablecloth-and-bedding banner, displayed in the Old Harbour.

This “hospitality flag”, stitched together from squeaky clean linen by tourism business owners, is a warm invitation to visitors from across the Western Cape. The innovative banner signals that Hermanus is collectively open for business. It also symbolises the town’s commitment to offering visitors the best of the Whale Coast in a safe, hygienic environment.

Hermanus boasts world-class tourism experiences for domestic travellers The Southern Right Whales have arrived right on cue, and the cliff paths offer the perfect view of this remarkable annual migration.

Restaurants, art galleries, adventure activities and nature reserves are ready for rediscovery. And so is the irresistibly beautiful countryside surrounding the town.

Hospitality establishments, business owners and their staff have used the Covid 19 lockdown period to implement hygiene and safety protocols that enable visitors to enjoy the diversity and natural beauty of the region safely.
..And the town’s famous champagne air is an immune booster in its own right.

New Beginnings in picturesque Hermanus

My family has been visiting Hermanus during our summer holidays since I was just a child. I loved it! The sea life. Free-diving, crayfish diving, running on the cliffpath, mountain biking... For an active person this is a dream destination. Add to the fact that I LOVE GREAT FOOD and Hermanus has the most wonderful restaurants and coffee shops.

As you can imagine, I dreamt of one-day owning a place here. We found this beautiful apartment that we knew, if it was given some love and a bit of a make-over, it would be the perfect place to go for us. We love adventure and this place held all of it! What a dream come true.

We loved it so much, we knew we could not keep it to ourselves. So we decided we would rent it out to fellow adventurers and lovers of all things beautiful.

We found the perfect person to run it for us in Willie Theron. What a man, with such a special character. He loves people and is such a great person to get to know.

About the apartment:

This penthouse apartment has been lovingly set up to make guests feel at home. What makes it stand out is the incredible view that can be seen from two of the bedrooms and all the common areas. It is a lovely experience to sit on the exclusive deck and look at the sea and search for whales and dolphins at play.

The team:

We are a team of three people. We love hosting because we get to meet so many interesting people. We purchased the apartment because we love Hermanus so much and have spent many years of holidays in Hermanus. We love the sea and at Nothing But View we have the opportunity to be so close to the ocean. We are adventurers and travelers.

The neighbourhood:

The biggest attraction of Hermanus would be the whales and other sea life. Then you have the spectacular nature reserves and mountains all around. You have the beautiful town life and markets every Saturday to look forward to. Stunning shopping and restaurants serving the most wonderful food. Around Hermanus you have many wine farms where you can go wine tasting. The Cape is known for fantastic wine across the world.
