I love spending time with elephants!🔥

On this occasion I almost got boxed in by 2 big elephant bulls! Smaller one in front and a much bigger one at the back! But reading their body language and scanning the surroundings lead to a sighting my guests won’t forget any time soon!🥳

Look at this!🤩

Nothing really to see here, but what is happening is this lioness is getting loads of information about her surroundings up wind of her!

By breathing in she is testing the air for any potential prey, danger or food in the area, the same way a snake uses its forked tongue to get a better idea of its surroundings!
Nature is amazing!

A lone Gijima male was just south of the camps, I had some shrubbery in front of me so I couldn’t see what he was watching.

I was not expecting that…😐

Normally a leopard would keep a little distance from the car… But on this occasion the Flat Rock male didn’t move away!

I like to say I’m pretty good at picking my space to stop the car and allowing the animals to walk past but on this occasion this leopard didn’t move far away, he walked right next to me and looked up!😧

It’s a little different when there is no door between you and these big cats! What a crazy experience, being vulnerable, exposed and yet feeling so safe!

It’s fascinating to watch this young male leopard playing around with his small prize! It’s not normal to see a Male leopard spend this amount of energy messing around!

What the heck!😧

Quick back story, this female lion chased a young male leopard away from his impala carcass that he had stashed in this tree!

However he hoisted so well that the lioness had trouble trying to get the remains of the impala out as you can see!

Believe it or not, this was recorded in real time! It’s a giant land snail slowly coming out of its shell!🤩

The African Giant Land Snail is one of the largest terrestrial molluscs with a shell that can reach 20cm / 7,8 inches.🤯

Reflections!😍

With photographers in the vehicle, ready to snap an awesome reflection shot, this big bull elephant was not working with us!😂

I parked a little out the way in the hopes that he would come enjoy a little early morning drink of water, but in the distance I could hear a heard busy feeding, and I do believe that is exactly where he was heading!
