Yesterday was one of those golden days in Kruger. 🌿🦁

Our guests, a wonderful family of four on their 8-day safari, had front-row seats to the magic of the bush. A lion sighting that left everyone breathless, a bateleur eagle with its prey 🦅, curious baboons keeping us entertained 🐒, and to top it off… a sunset that stopped us all in our tracks 🌅.

🌅 Majestic Moments at Sunrise 🌿🐘

There’s something truly magical about watching an elephant in the wild, especially when captured against the glow of a stunning African sunrise. This bull, grazing peacefully in the grasslands north of Satara with the rising sun, is a reminder of the breathtaking beauty that Kruger National Park has to offer. 🌞

The world feels still, and the moment feels timeless, as if the dawn itself is giving him the spotlight. 🌍💛

🫣 Bush Myth or Leopard Logic? 🐆🌳

The other day, while watching a leopard lounging in a tree, I overheard a guide share a hilarious theory…

Apparently, you can tell the difference between a male and female leopard by how they lie on a branch. 🤔 His reasoning?

👉 “A female will lie with the branch between her back legs… but a male? No chance! Those testicles make that position waaay too uncomfortable! So the male will hang both back legs off one side of the branch instead.” 😅🍒

Well… here’s the twist — the photo I took is of a female leopard, lying exactly the way he claimed a male would! So much for leopard logic! 😄📸

Next time you see a leopard in a tree, take a look — and maybe have a little giggle!

📸 FINALLY! After years of trying… we got him! 😍🔭🕊️

Meet the elusive Red-chested Cuckoo — better known in South Africa as "Piet-my-Vrou!" You’ll hear his loud, unmistakable call echoing through the bush all summer long, but spotting one? That’s a whole different story.

These sneaky birds are brood parasites, meaning they lay their eggs in other birds' nests — around Hoedspruit, their favorite unsuspecting foster parents are the White-browed Robin-Chat and the White-browed Scrub-Robin. 😲🐣

It’s taken years to get this shot, and it was SO worth the wait!

🔎 The Lone Ranger of Kruger! 🦬🌿

This old buffalo bull, known as a "dagga boy," has seen it all—charging lions, mud baths, and countless safari vehicles admiring his rugged good looks. Now, he roams the bush alone, a true warrior of the wild! 💪🔥

We spotted this beautiful leopard in Kruger last week. She had been in a fight very recently and was recovering in a protective thorny thicket just next to the road.

The savannah grassland plains of Satara are our favorite place to watch 🐘🐘🐘 elephants go about there day. The abundance of soft grass makes this area a favorite among some of the older elephants and the lack of thickets and bushes allows us to take some great photographs.
